The Details Are Out

The much anticipated portal for Tenants and Owners to submit applications for relief from unpaid rent will open on June 1. No one knows exactly what this will look like and exactly how much unpaid rent will be recouped for any tenant. However, with the application process opening, we encourage you to educate yourselves.

The NYS Office of Temporary and Disability assistance has announced that the portal for applications for rental relief will be accessible June 1, 2021 at: https://otda.ny.gov/programs/Emergency-Rental-Assistance/
 
The link above contains a lot of helpful information already. As we learn more about the process, we will keep you informed. We do encourage you to keep your eye on the website for more information and details. We would also recommend that you post information in your buildings, send out a mailer to your Tenant's and include it in the next rent bill information to make sure they are aware of the process and how to access the portal.
